WBL #10: Sunken Ship Brewing

After taking a several month break, it was back to the breweries for the final three items on Wilie’s bucket list. January led us to Sunken Ship Brewing Company in Princeton, Minnesota. Priding themselves on being “a home away from home,” Sunken Ship provides a very easy-going family friendly atmosphere. With a free party room available for rent, it is a great venue to celebrate birthdays, holidays, or bachelor/bachelorette parties. While they offer minimal basic snacks, you are welcome to bring your own food/have food delivered, and food trucks frequent the brewery, especially on the weekends. Sunken Ship wants to ensure you enjoy your visit, offering lots of fun activities such as bingo, live musicians, and even themed parties like the World’s Largest Rubber Duck party weekend. There are at least 12 beers on tap to choose from and a large flavored seltzer variety as well. One thing I had not seen prior to hanging out at Sunken Ship is the customer chooses whether they’d like a “minimum wake” seltzer or a “maximum wake” seltzer, the difference being alcohol content and sweeter to dryer variety. They have a larger than average merch area, containing some unique items for purchase such as dog bowls and signs in addition to the standard shirts, cups, and growlers that most breweries have to offer. With a large quantity of both indoor and outdoor seating, including two fenced-in poop decks for your pup, there is plenty of room to wander in and spend some time getting lost on the sunken ship.
