WBL Month #9: Christmas Tree Ornament

So, I know you all have seen that one Christmas meme floating around the internet… the “two types of people at Christmas.” The top is some gladiator looking dude saying “So it begins,” the bottom is Buddy the Elf with a big grin saying, “Santa’s coming!” I definitely qualify under the Buddy the Elf category. I think the season of love and giving is truly one of the most wonderful times of the year. So for Willie’s December bucket list item, we decided to make a Christmas tree ornament. Advertised as “never having been this easy,” we thought pressing Willie’s paw print into air-drying clay would go pretty smooth. Apparently, arts and crafts are not our strong suit because it took a couple attempts. Luckily the clay was very easy to remold. The description of the purchase also failed to mention just how much animal hair would likely stick in the clay. Call it character, right? Despite the crafting struggles, Willie’s paw print ornament is now one of several imperfect homemade Christmas ornaments decorating my pine tree each December.
