Farewell 2024

It’s been a hell of a year. 2024 brought some hard moments for me. Some of the darkest days I’ve had in a long time, and in some ways, my entire life so far. And as hard as the year felt at times for me, several people that I care for went through truly devastating events. I’m talking unemployment, suicide, loss of a child, infertility issues. Real heavy stuff. And that’s just in my circle. There’s a whole lot of humans out there that would have considered even my worst day this year one of their best. While I am a big believer of finding the things to be grateful for in every day, this is not meant to come at anyone as a toxic positivity lecture. Feel your sadness. Feel your anger. Feel your pain. Simultaneously, 2024 gave me some of the most amazing moments and experiences. BOTH can be true. Without suffering there is no compassion…there is a time to weep and a time to laugh…and all that.

2024 was my year of growth. And while I do not intend to stop working my a$$ off to grow into the best and happiest version of myself, I am declaring 2025 my year of joy. I know that won’t be the case for everyone though. If 2025 is your year of growth, you’ve got this. You are never alone. There IS beauty in the suffering. Take every lesson you can, there ALWAYS is one. And having a chip on your shoulder may just serve as the ignitor to your flame…IF you let it. I know it did for me. But the choice is yours.

Thank you, truly, for taking the time to read my blog this year. It means the world to me. Have a very Merry Christmas! Come back in the New Year to read about some of the things I have planned for 2025 (sneak peek below). Or maybe not…as we all know, life doesn’t always go as planned.
