Wyoming

On Monday, August 26th, my friend Brianne and I drove from Colorado, where we had been the previous two days, up to Wyoming for the day because I’d never visited the state. We spent the day exploring Wyoming’s capital city, Cheyenne. We were aided in this exploration in large part by the Big Boots of Cheyenne. Sponsored by local businesses, the boot statues were painted to tell the story of the city. I’m happy to report we were able to locate 21 of the 30 boots! It was a fun, interactive way to explore Cheyenne by both vehicle and foot.

Just some of our Big Boots pics
I promise we took a pic with every boot we found!

In addition to our boot statue photo sesh, we ate breakfast at Diamond Horeshoe Cafe. The diner gave off the country Western vibes you’d expect of Wyoming. The skillet I had was delish, and the ranch was a solid 4 stars. Near the end of our boot scouting tour, we also stopped into Westby Edge Brewing. Now, I may have only been to one brewery in the state of Wyoming, but I’m already claiming Westby Edge as my fave. The laid-back bartender whipped me up a flight consisting of two tap wines and two of Wyoming’s own Snowy Mountain based seltzers. In addition to the tasty beverages, some of the indoor seating consisted of swings. SWINGS you guys! The drinks were good, the vibes were good, and the brewery’s logo became the picture model for the new ink we were scheduled to get that evening…arrows: meaning follow your arrow. Brianne has been one of my biggest supporters of “follow your arrow,” both physically (travel-wise) and in following the path I’m on to becoming the best version of me.

Our new ink!
